The Little Black Hat

La petite veste noire (little black jacket) invented in 1954 by the legendary Coco Chanel is more than a must for all the fashion victims. That's why Karl Lagerfeld worked about an entire photo-project, involving the a lot of important celebrities such as Yoko Ono, Sarah Jessica Parker and Roberto Bolle. The exhibition is called “The Little Black Jacket” and will be in Milan until 20^th April.

Among the various events of Milan Design Week i had the chance to visit the exhibition and i find it really interesting. Karl certainly has a brilliant mind and was able to capture the hidden meaning behind a simple black jacket, symbol of composure and authority for women nowadays.

I called the post “The Little Black Hat” trying to create a bridge between the exhibition and my outfit. The highlight is a black studded hat. What do you think about it? Is it cool? :)

Inventata nel 1954 dalla leggendaria Coco Chanel, la petite veste noire (piccola giacca nera) oltre ad essere diventata un must per tutte le fashion victims, racchiude in se un senso molto più profondo, tanto da ispirare il celebre Karl Lagerfeld a dedicarci un intero progetto fotografico, coinvolgendo le più grandi star del cinema e dello Star System del calibro di Yoko Ono o Sarah Jessica Parker, Roberto Bolle e così via. La mostra intitolata “The Little Black Jacket” ha fatto tappa a Milano il 6 Aprile e resterà nella stupenda cornice della Rotonda della Besana fino al 20.

Tra i vari appuntamenti della Design Week Milanse ho avuto modo di visitare la mostra trovando il tutto decisamente interessante. Di certo Karl ha una mente geniale ed è riuscito a cogliere in pieno il significato nascosto dietro ciò che agli occhi di tanti risulterebbe essere una semplice giacca nera, ma che in realtà è segno di compostezza nonchè di autorevolezza, ciò che la donna vuole appunto esprimere con gli abiti.

Ho intitolato il post “The Little Black Hat” creando una sorta di bridge tra la mostra e il mio outfit, che vede protagonista indiscusso un semplice berretto stile New Era, borchiato. Che dite? Carino? :)

Vi consiglio vivamente di andare a vedere la mostra, nel caso non possiate spero di darvi un'idea del tutto con queste foto.
